Identidad cultural desde la música del movimiento de la nueva canción latinoamericana en los estudiantes de la Universidad de Cienfuegos

Abstract

La música popular tradicional ha sido declarada por la UNESCO patrimonio inmaterial de la humanidad y el Movimiento de la Nueva Canción Latinoamericana (MNCL) se ha incluido en dicha declaración. Por su influencia en la identidad cultural en los diferentes contextos y espacios históricos de nuestro continente y por su importante papel en la defensa de lo más autóctono de nuestros pueblos. Las exploraciones realizadas en la práctica educativa demuestran las potencialidades de la utilización de la música en el fortalecimiento de los valores identitarios. El presente trabajo se dirige a explicarlo a partir de identificar los principales portadores del género en la región latinoamericana, el contenido socio musical de su repertorio, así como sus prácticas socioculturales a integrar en el contexto de las clases de Historia de América III con estudiantes de Tercer Año de la Carrera Marxismo Historia de la Universidad de Cienfuegos.
