Las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones: una mirada a la realidad de los jóvenes cubanos

Abstract

El desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones y el acceso cada vez mayor a ellas han provocado que los jóvenes desarrollen una relación muy importante ellas. Los usos de estas nuevas tecnologías por parte de los jóvenes, en el contexto cubano, tanto en la facilidad con que se apropian de ellas como en su calidad de nativos digitales conlleva a que estos vivan continuamente en la recomposición de prácticas y representaciones y a su vez impactan en la manera en que desarrollan sus relaciones sociales. Lo anterior obliga a los científicos sociales y decisores políticos a tomar a los jóvenes como protagonistas de su realidad y a comprender la condición juvenil que emerge en este siglo. Con este trabajo nos hemos propuesto reflexionar sobre la realidad de los jóvenes cubanos ante las TIC en el contexto actual.
