Múltiplos acidentes ocupacionais com material biológico entre profissionais da Saúde

Abstract

Esse artigo tem como finalidade, identificar a ocorrência de múltiplos acidentes ocupacionais com material biológico em um mesmo profissional de saúde. A metodologia usada foi o estudo transversal quantitativo, analítico, desenvolvido em um Serviço de Atendimento Especializado. A amostra foi composta por profissionais que sofreram mais de um acidente ocupacional com material biológico no período de seis anos consecutivos. O resultado foi conclusivo e identificou que 45 profissionais estavam envolvidos em acidentes múltiplos, destes 31 (68,9%) eram da equipe de enfermagem, sendo a maioria do sexo feminino 37 (82,2%). Os profissionais com até cinco anos de atuação tiveram maior ocorrência 14 (31,1%) e a exposição percutânea foi a mais prevalente, 25 (55,6%). O número máximo de exposições observadas neste estudo foi de quatro acidentes envolvendo um mesmo profissional, três (6,7%) profissionais. Concluisse que a ocorrência de múltiplos acidentes ocupacionais é uma situação presente na realidade dos profissionais da saúde e identificar os fatores envolvidos em sua recorrência é uma tarefa desafiadora.
