Génesis y desarrollo histórico de la localidad de Moa; un caso singular dentro de los estudios regionales y locales

Abstract

La búsqueda de la verdad científica sobre la singularidad de las regiones históricas respecto de la formación nacional y las particularidades del serregional, frente a las tendencias hegemónicas y globalizadoras que pretenden barrer las identidades regionales o reforzarlas casuísticamente, de acuerdo con sus intereses, se erige como necesidad apremiante de las Ciencias Sociales y Humanísticas, en particular, de la Historia. La nueva Regionalística Histórica se auxilia de otras disciplinas que aportan su aparato categorial y teórico-metodológico a esta novísima rama de la Ciencia histórica en que se han convertido los estudios regionales y locales. Estos son los casos de la Sociología, la Psicología, la Economía, la Geografía, la Planificación Física, el Urbanismo y los estudios culturales, entre otros.
