El embarazo adolescente y su repercusión en el desarrollo académico

Abstract

Los resultados de las decisiones apresuradas de los jóvenes, respecto de su sexualidad, se perciben en las clínicas particulares y en los hospitales públicos, nos referimos al embarazo precoz en adolescentes el cual es considerado un problema de salud pública. Del estudio realizado, se observa que la edad promedio en que las adolescentes inician su actividad sexual es casi a los 14 años; y en los varones un año antes, los especialistas consultados encuentran una relación entre la edad del debut y los factores sociales, culturales, económicos y otras causas que rodean a los púberes. El embarazo precoz compromete el binomio madre – hijo pues este grupo vulnerable tiene mayor riesgo de aborto, parto pre-término o cesárea por inmadurez fisiológica.
