Relações de gênero e poder: um estudo da representação da figura feminina na arte

Abstract

A pesquisa tem como objetivo refletir sobre os arquétipos femininos nas artes plásticas, através da análise imagética de alguns cânones da pintura ocidental. Questões como a construção da idealização do corpo feminino, relações de gênero e de poder são discutidas ao longo do texto. Foram analisados os contextos históricos e sociais de duas obras importantes para as artes plásticas, a Vênus de Urbino, de Ticiano, (1538), e Les demoiselles d"Avignon, de Pablo Picasso (1907), para o questioidnto sobre a consolidação dos padrões estéticos e comportamentais das mulheres na sociedade de cada época. Evidencia que as representações decorrem como parte do imaginário masculino.
