Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación está referido al papel de las mujeres cubanas en las guerras por la independencia, a propósito de estar celebrando el 150 aniversario del inicio de las gestas libertarias. Se trata de demostrar el valor de la mujer cubana, no solo como compañía de su esposo sino del protagonismo que jugó peleando, atendiendo hospitales de campaña, enfrentando las vejaciones del poder colonial español y de la república neocolonial.
