Santiago Chazumba: aspectos sociodemográficos, socieconómicos y migración internacional. Algunas propuestas de políticas públicas

Abstract

Santiago Chazumba es un municipio que pertenece a la mixteca baja de Oaxaca, cuya población disminuyó a tasa compuesta anual de 0.30% entre 1990 y 2015. Hacia 2010 el 45.5% de su población eran hombres y el 54.5% mujeres. Hacia ese mismo año el 34.77% de su población tenía entre 0 y 19 años de edad. Entre 2000 y 2010 los índices de envejecimiento de este municipio se incrementaron, sobre todo entre las mujeres. Entre 1990 y 2015, Santiago Chazumba clasificó como un municipio de medio grado de marginación en los índices de marginación municipal del CONAPO. La migración internacional se ha incrementado entre 2000 y 2010 y el ingreso promedio de una familia de las más ricas es 19 veces mayor al ingreso promedio de una de las familias más pobres. En consecuencia, se esbozan algunas líneas de políticas públicas para afrontar los principales problemas del municipio.
