Contacto de las lenguas kichwa y español en los intercambios comunicativos en el Cantón Otavalo-Ecuador

Abstract

Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación desarrollada en el cantón Otavalo, Republica de Ecuador. En el marco del Programa de Vinculación con la sociedad, 50 familias kichwahablantes recibieron en sus hogares un día por semana del período académico abril 2017- agosto 2017 a estudiantes de la Carrera Plurilingüe, de la Facultad de Filosofía, Letras y Ciencias de la Educación de la Universidad Central del Ecuador. La finalidad de la investigación fue determinar las variaciones morfosintácticas que sufren las lenguas kichwa y español en los intercambios comunicativos en el contexto investigado. Es un estudio de enfoque cualitativo y de carácter transversal. La aplicación de la observación participante, entrevistas en profundidad y un grupo focal, permitió recolectar la información que fue analizada mediante técnicas descriptivas, lo cual, conllevó a determinar que los hablantes, en los intercambios comunicativos en la familia y en la comunidad, emplean los idiomas Kichwa y Español simultáneamente, dando lugar a la coexistencia de las referidas lenguas, esto, conlleva a la praxis de variaciones morfosintácticas significativas en los dos idiomas, a pesar de facilitar la comunicación, sin alterar los mensajes que se pretenden comunicar.
