Economía Regional en la Nueva Geografía Económica

Abstract

El presente estudio tiene como tema central el análisis de la nueva geografía, a partir de las diferentes teorías que permiten comprender y en su medida desarrollar soluciones a los desequilibrios espaciales. Por ello, el objetivo fue realizar una revisión documental referente a la Nueva Geografía Económica en territorios definidos. Por ello, la investigación tuvo un enfoque especialmente teórico a través de los diferentes enfoques y perspectivas económicas de la Nueva Geografía Económica. Se utilizó una metodología mixta, por una parte a través de la revisión de literatura y por otra de tipo descriptiva. Los resultados reflejan que la Nueva Geografía Económica al considerar la relación espacio-territorio-globalización, pone de manifiesto las nuevas tendencias que están apareciendo para resolver los problemas económicos espaciales y la importancia del aspecto medioambiental en los procesos de desarrollo económico.
