Ciclo político – económico de las provincias del Ecuador. Periodo 2008-2014

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la incidencia del ciclo político oportunista en la renta de las provincias del Ecuador, mediante un método econométrico de Mínimos Cuadrados Ordinarios, utilizando datos de panel. Las variables que presenta el modelo son autorregresivas y dummys, que indican la presencia del ciclo político previo y posterior al proceso electoral. La estimación del modelo indica que la política macroeconómica ha modificado el comportamiento de la renta provincial, durante las campañas políticas de reelección del presidente Rafael Correa entre el periodo del año 2008 al 2014.
