La contaminación del agua potable con elevadas concentraciones de arsénico en Argentina, sus efectos en la salud

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como propósito evidenciar, informar y debatir acerca de las consecuencias negativas que tiene sobre la salud el consumo doméstico de agua con valores de concentraciones de arsénico superiores a los recomendados por la Organización Mundial de la Salud en forma prolongada. Mostrar cómo la vulneración de derechos reconocidos internacionalmente, como el derecho al acceso al agua potable, afecta el desarrollo integral de las personas y las comunidades, a la vez que se vulneran otros derechos como el derecho a la salud. Además, se pretende reflexionar y poner en discusión la responsabilidad que le cabe al Estado como garante de los derechos humanos.
