Desarrollo del turismo de salud como dinamizador del desarrollo local y herramienta para la promoción de la imagen de destinos turísticos. caso Cuba

Abstract

La presente investigación está dirigida al Sistema de Conocimientos del Producto Turismo de Salud en el Destino Cuba a partir de dos grandes realidades. Por un lado la existencia de excelentes condiciones naturales, históricas y socioculturales para el desarrollo de la modalidad turística Turismo de Salud, y el interés marcado en la explotación del turismo de aguas termales en el territorio. Se analizan los elementos más interesantes del recurso balneario y sus potencialidades para su desarrollo, asociado al uso de las aguas mineromedicinales, vinculado a la historia local y a la actividad turística. Se analizan aspectos relativos al diagnóstico y planeamiento de los atributos de los balnearios para desarrollar este tipo de turismo en el Destino, así como el fortalecimiento de su imagen, haciendo énfasis en el turismo comunitario o local donde se analizan las oportunidades para el diseño y lanzamiento de productos turísticos asociados a esta modalidad.
