Observações preliminares dos impactos da expansão do Agronegócio Canavieiro para o campesinato

Abstract

Nos últimos anos, a expansão do cultivo de cana-de-açúcar tem sido vertiginosa na região do Vale do Ivinhema/MS, tal fato se deve a territorialização do capital agroindustrial canavieiro através da implantação de usinas sucroalcooleiras na região o que vem provocando grandes transformações no espaço agrário. O presente artigo pretende discutir os impactos e desdobramentos para o campesinato, evidenciando como essa nova configuração afeta o modo de vida da classe camponesa e quais tem sido as novas estratégias de luta e resistência por eles adotadas frente a esses tensionamentos no campo.
