Las dimensiones de la responsabilidad social en el cacao Ecuatoriano

Abstract

El cacao ecuatoriano es un producto con alta demanda internacional, sin embargo los procesos que se llevan a cabo en toda la cadena de valor requieren procesos de responsabilidad social a todo nivel; El Estado, agricultores, comerciantes, y consumidor. Conforme el análisis de las dimensiones de la responsabilidad social se contrasta bajo cada criterio las condiciones históricas y actuales del cacao ecuatoriano en base a cuatro elementos de la responsabilidad social: La administración del capital humano, Salud y seguridad en el lugar de trabajo, Adaptación al cambio y Cuidado del Ambiente. Valorando el desarrollo de cada elemento en un fruto altamente relevante para la economía del Ecuador como resultados se destacan la falta de estrategias claras en el cumplimiento de la responsabilidad social en el cultivo, variación de precios al productor y mayores beneficios al comerciante, expansión de pocas empresas y cultivos de propiedad de pequeños agricultores con limitaciones por su empirismo y accesibilidad de inversión y desarrollo.
