Mercantilización del patrimonio cultural inmaterial, impactos del turismo en expresiones vivas de México

Abstract

Pese al discurso conservacionista y de desarrollo económico, el patrimonio cultural inmaterial ha sido motivo de explotación turística, con un enfoque mercantilista, las expresiones vivas transmitidas de generación en generación, quedan convertidas en mercancía a la compra venta en el mercado turístico. A través de una revisión de literatura se destaca la mercantilización del patrimonio cultural inmaterial y los impactos que el turismo ha ocasionado en cuatro bienes inmateriales de México que se encuentran inscritos en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, a decir: el Ritual de Voladores, Fiestas indígenas en honor a los muertos, la Pirekua y los Parachicos de Chiapa de Corzo. Se destacan como impactos importantes tras su potenciación turística la perdida de autenticidad en las expresiones culturales y la distribución inequitativa de los beneficios económicos entre los actores involucrados.
