Mirar Las Honradas con los espejuelos del género

Abstract

Este trabajo estudia la novela cubana Las Honradas difundida a principios del pasado siglo. Al constituir una obra fundamental dentro de las letras y la cultura nacional, forma parte de los programas de enseñanza de la literatura. Sin embargo, en el presente artículo se propone un análisis poco frecuente en los estudios literarios, pues se examina esta narración desde la mirada de género para conocer cuál era la situación de las mujeres y hombres en aquella época y cómo en la actualidad persisten algunas de las inequidades planteadas en la novela.
