Abstract

Se presenta parte de los resultados de la investigación sobre la gestión del turismo rural comunitario en la parroquia la Magdalena, provincia Bolívar, el estudio se sustenta en un enfoque exploratorio – descriptivo para determinar las características más importantes de su entorno, sus habitantes y turistas, en relación a la estructura de la organización, medio ambiente, cultura local, calidad de servicios, entre otros. Se consideró para esta investigación una muestra de 338 habitantes y 305 turistas. Los resultados permitieron concluir que la gestión del turismo rural comunitario requiere valorar los recursos turísticos de la localidad, así como potenciar esta actividad para reducir la migración de la población rural, incremento de la prestación de servicios turísticos de calidad, empoderamiento de las autoridades locales que permita mejorar la calidad de vida de su población.
