Abstract

Muitos estudantes saem de suas cidades em busca de um ensino de melhor qualidade e precisam de um local que dê suporte. Esse grupo é jovem, precisa de apoio e muitas vezes ainda não sabe como administrar uma casa. A pesquisa propõe estudar estabelecimentos extra hoteleiros com características familiares, com foco no segmento estudantil, de modo que se observem as possíveis causas desses meios serem atrativos para estudantes. Por meio de uma pesquisa exploratória com caráter qualitativo e estudo de casos múltiplos, com a Residência Maria Imaculada, Associação Chiba Kenjin do Brasil e uma república. Foi feito levantamento bibliográfico dos conceitos de hospitalidade, serviços, meios extra hoteleiros, stakeholders e profissionalização utilizando as obras de Camargo (2004); Fitzsimmons e Fitzsimmons (2002); Lashley e Morrison (2004) e Lovelock, Wirtz e Hemzo (2011); Cooper, Fletcher, Fyall, Gilbert e Wanhill (2007); Freeman (1984) e Robbins (2009) como referências para a pesquisa.
