Abstract

Las poblaciones de las actuales y modernas sociedades están familiarizadas con el término “pirámide†, pero la pirámide socio-económica invertida que sufre la mayoría de los cubanos de a pié, aunque monumental, no hereda la hermosura de sus antecesoras egipcias y se ha convertido en una figura tristemente célebre por sus múltiples afectaciones a la dinámica social, laboral y económica del país, muy a pesar de los comprometidos esfuerzos que realiza la nación por revertirla. El presente trabajo pretende describir el fenómeno, desde la óptica de sus actores históricamente beneficiados o perjudicados, así como de sus efectos sociales nocivos y procesos que se localizan en la periferia de este complejo entramado social.
