Redes Sociais Da Criminalidade No Sistema Penitenciã Rio Brasileiro: Estudo De Caso

Abstract

Este artigo procura discutir e compreender os diversos tipos de redes sociais presentes no sistema prisional do Rio Grande do Norte. Para dar conta do problema, optou-se por utilizar as categorias analíticas de Mark Granovetter, Ricardo Abramovay, entre outros, da Nova Sociologia Econômica (Redes, Nós e Laços) como principal suporte. Em termos de pesquisa qualitativa, mergulhou no universo da Penitenciária Dr. Francisco Nogueira Fernandes, conhecida como Penitenciária de Alcaçuz, localizada no município de Nísia Floresta, Rio Grande do Norte, Brasil. Percebemos que a mesma constitui-se não como um espaço fechado em absoluto, mas um lugar onde perpassam redes e dinâmicas sociais próprias. Ao mesmo tempo, constatou-se que mais do que a presença de grupos organizados, prisão é espaço de interação social e de redes sociais que passam por dentro e fora de seu espaço.
