Abstract

En este artículo analizaremos las relaciones entre el proceso de neo liberalización de las transformaciones urbanas y su incidencia en la calidad ambiental. Las ciudades se convertido en centros estratégicos para un desigual avance de proyectos de reestructuración neoliberal, con su secuela de crisis en la calidad vida de sus usuarios. Los grandes capitales económicos van dibujando a su propio interés el crecimiento de las ciudades, principalmente al margen de las regulaciones del estado, buscando para ello zonas vulnerables, donde la práctica de planeación territorial es nula o corruptible por los intereses del status quo. Este es el caso del crecimiento de la Zona Metropolitana de San Luis Potosí hacia el Valle de San Francisco en Villa de Reyes.
