Abstract

La relación empresa y medio ambiente se ha comportado de forma creciente al igual que la conciencia ambiental, provocando que los directivos de la Asociación Agrícola e Industrial Arrocera San Gabriel decidan implantar un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental (SGMA) que facilite el control de las actividades, procesos y servicios. El SGMA es un proceso continuo e interactivo, que involucra, estructura responsabilidades, procedimientos, procesos y recursos para implementar políticas, objetivos y metas ambientales, coordinado con todas las áreas de la empresa. Implementar un Sistema de Gestión Ambiental aporta ahorro de costos, ventajas competitivas, reducción de riesgos ambientales, garantizando el cumplimiento de la normativa vigente, incorpora los valores del desarrollo sostenible en las metas corporativas, integrando políticas, programas y prácticas respetuosas con el medio ambiente en un proceso de mejora continua, comporta educar, enseñar y motivar a directivos y empleados en los valores ambientales y de la sostenibilidad, formando parte de la ética administrativas de la empresa.
