Abstract

Las fiestas populares tradicionales, son una muestra característica de la cultura y por ende de la identidad cultural. Constituyen un suceso de obligada mirada en el tiempo, una visión integral como catalizadora de las expresiones identitarias. Resumen elementos socioculturales que son reflejo de una época, escenario ideal para estudiar la cultura integralmente concebida, vinculada a sucesos de la vida cotidiana de los hombres. Además, los conduce a una salida de esa cotidianidad. Las fiestas expresan huellas del tejido social que representan y cuyos intereses simbolizan y constituyen reflejo de la identidad cultural de un pueblo según su tradición. El presente artículo hace referencia a los conceptos emitidos por diferentes autores acerca de la identidad cultural, las tradiciones y las fiestas populares tradicionales, demostrando su vinculación así como la importancia que tiene su conservación. Además, los elementos socioculturales que la identifican y convierten en reflejo de identidad cultural.
