Abstract

En el presente artículo se exponen las experiencias de investigación participativa en las localidades Tanchachín y La Unión de Guadalupe Tamápatz en el municipio de Aquismón, en San Luis Potosí. Investigación multidisciplinar para el desarrollo local de la comunidad, donde entre otros objetivos se planteó el de diseñar de forma participativa la infraestructura turística comunitaria que se requería para el desarrollo endógeno de sus habitantes en el año 2000. Utilizando los componentes encontrados de sostenibilidad en la vivienda vernácula y un papel de facilitador del desarrollo comunitario por parte de los investigadores. Se instrumentaron proyectos, obtuvieron recursos y se construyó la infraestructura previamente diseñada por medios participativos. A más de una década de distancia, los autores hacen un análisis retrospectivo de los objetivos planteados y los revisan bajo la óptica de la sustentabilidad, la participación comunitaria y los recientes hallazgos sobre la sustentabilidad de la vivienda tradicional. Así mismo, hacen un comparativo entre ambas experiencias, haciendo énfasis en las condiciones contextuales y culturales que marcaron una diferencia entre ellas.
