Desarrollo de la disciplina calidad y su enfoque de CTS

Abstract

La vida está hoy tremendamente influenciada por la ciencia y la tecnología. Educar acerca de estos temas es vital para el futuro de la humanidad y ayudar por tanto a comprender, a pensar en las implicaciones que para la naturaleza social y cultural tienen la ciencia y la tecnología, es algo esencial para la educación de las actuales y futuras generaciones. La calidad es un concepto que ha acompañado al ser humano desde muy temprano en su evolución como ser social ganando importancia y expandiendo su alcance. A raíz de esta tendencia los gobiernos también han implementado mecanismos para avalar la protección del medioambiente como los premios/modelos de excelencia de calidad. La realización de este trabajo permitió concluir que Ciencia y Tecnología son procesos sociales estrechamente ligados y que ejercen una fuerte y creciente influencia sobre la sociedad y la civilización donde se han desarrollado; la calidad es al mismo tiempo una suerte de atributo y filosofía gerencial, determinada por las necesidades de las partes interesadas, que ha evolucionado en el tiempo ampliado su horizonte y al mismo tiempo fortaleciendo su perspectiva de CTS.
