Coyuntura turística del Caribe Insular 2011-2013

Abstract

Análisis del comportamiento de llegadas, ingresos turísticos y pasajeros de cruceros en el Caribe Insular en el periodo 2011-2013, comparándolo con su comportamiento anterior y con el de América y el mundo. El desempeño 2011-2013 resulta favorable comparado con etapas anteriores, en cuanto a que todos los indicadores arrojan crecimiento progresivos, el crecimiento promedio de los ingresos turísticos supera al crecimiento promedio de las llegadas y los ingresos por llegada de turistas son más altos y tienen tendencia a crecer. Se destaca no obstante, un crecimiento relativamente más bajo de los ingresos turísticos comparados con la primera década del siglo y una notable pérdida de participación dentro de los ingresos turísticos mundiales como la mayor debilidad.
