O uso de geotecnologia como ferramenta alternativa na identificação de áreas inundáveis em zonas urbanas: um estudo de caso na lagoa da francesa em Parintins-AM

Abstract

Neste trabalho foi gerado um mapa para espacialização e classificação das áreas inundáveis nos entornos da Lagoa da Francesa em Parintins, AM referente à enchente sazonal de 2012, que segundo dados do CPRM, em Parintins, foi a segunda maior cota da história, atingindo a marca de 907 cm, causando prejuízos de várias ordens. Com auxílio de um aparelho receptor de GPS foram coletados 76 pontos onde a lâmina d’água atingiu seu ponto máximo. Com os pontos coletados construiu-se o mapa de inundação utilizando-se software livre, Quantum GIS 1.7.3 Wroclaw e imagens de satélite do Google Earth. Assim, foi possível identificar as áreas inundáveis nos entornos da lagoa, classificando-as em: vulneráveis, suscetíveis ou de riscos. Com este trabalho pretende-se demonstrar para a comunidade afetada e aos órgãos responsáveis uma ferramenta alternativa que resulte em estudos preventivos e medidas objetivas para a prevenção quanto aos riscos inerentes a esse desastre natural.
