El Eco-Parque Industrial: una alternativa para el crecimiento sostenible de países en vías de desarrollo

Abstract

El panorama económico, social y ambiental no siempre es el más favorable para alcanzar un crecimiento industrial sostenible en los países en vías de desarrollo. En ocasiones, la distribución geográfica de las industrias no es la más indicada y se generan deficiencias en la adquisición de los materiales, el uso de la energía y el tratamiento de los residuos, lo que influye negativamente en la productividad y en el medio ambiente circundante. Los Eco-Parques Industriales se proponen como una estrategia para articular el trabajo conjunto de varias empresas de forma tal que se minimicen los impactos medioambientales del grupo y se obtengan mejores resultados económicos a largo plazo.
