Las danzas populares tradicionales jobabenses: la Conga Cuba Libre

Abstract

La cultura popular tradicional es el conjunto de creaciones que constituyen el resultado de las tradiciones que son asumidas por un grupo o colectividad, por tal motivo, se realizó un estudio sobre las tradiciones danzarias en el municipio de Jobabo, en la provincia de Las Tunas, constatando que el grupo danzario Conga Cuba Libre, con más de 50 años de tradición, se encuentra en una etapa crucial por cuanto si no se le dedica un espacio dentro del quehacer cultural del municipio va a perder su tradición e identidad cultural. Por lo cual se desarrollaron talleres con un grupo de estudiantes de la carrera de Estudios Socioculturales a través de los cuales se obtuvieron importantes resultados, a partir del rescate de su repertorio y su coreografía y un espacio cultural donde divulgar su arte y de esta forma el legado de su tradición a las jóvenes generaciones.
