El proceso migratorio en Cuba durante sus tres primeros siglos coloniales

Abstract

Desde los orígenes del hombre los procesos migratorios hacia las diferentes regiones del planeta han sido una constante. Unas veces de manera voluntaria y otras de manera forzada, en ellos han influido desde las condiciones naturales hasta el ocupamiento de sus territorios por otros emigrantes o conquistadores. Este proceso, generador de culturas mestizas, ha centrado la atención de los historiadores. Muchos miembros de este gremio han considerado al capital humano como el principal aporte hispano a la construcción nacional de los países americanos. Cuba no ha quedado exento a lo planteado aunque tuvo una diversa migración entre los siglos XVI al XVIII, donde se incluyen otras partes de Europa y América.
