Análisis de la competitividad territorial. Aplicación de un índice de competitividad en Cuba

Abstract

Actualmente el proceso de apertura al mercado externo y la prioridad dada por el gobierno cubano a la generación de ingresos en divisas, ha adquirido un significado muy especial, reflejándose en la política económica planteada en el VI Congreso de Partido, donde se propone dos tipos de soluciones, a corto y largo plazo. En ellas se enfatiza que el éxito de la política económica de Cuba se centra fundamentalmente en la generación de ingresos externos y el éxito de este desafío depende, entre otros factores, de la competitividad. Por lo cual resulta importante identificar las principales tendencias internacionales en cuanto a la valoración de los factores condicionales de la competitividad, así como sus formas de medición y adaptarlas a la economía cubana. Por tanto, el objetivo de este artículo es resumir los resultados de la aplicación de un índice de competitividad territorial en la provincia de Holguín, Cuba.
