Factores históricos y epistemológicos condicionantes de la debilidad del enfoque social en las ciencias naturales

Abstract

Valorar los elementos históricos y epistemológicos que han limitado la materialización del carácter social de la investigación, en el devenir de las ciencias naturales, constituye el propósito esencial de este artículo. Para ello analiza algunas pautas de la construcción de lo científico, su distanciamiento de los valores y de la cultura en la proyección del ideal de progreso, desde la filosofía antigua, el Renacimiento, la etapa posterior a la Revolución industrial, y las vertiginosas transformaciones tecnológicas del siglo XX.
