Abstract

Este artículo aborda desde la perspectiva de la sociología cultural y la relacional, la dimensión cultural en la atención primaria de salud, que a entender de estos autores, tiene su eje central en la interacción que existe entre la práctica médica familiar y las prácticas culturales comunitarias. La atención primaria de salud debe ser comprendida como un espacio social donde se desarrolla un sistema re relaciones sociales de poder entre el médico, sus pacientes, la población que atiende y las instituciones que en ella existen.
