El hábito de fumar en los adolescentes. Un estudio preliminar de su comportamiento en una comunidad rural

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo con un diseño no experimental, de tipo retrospectivo y transversal, en la comunidad de Humilladero, perteneciente al Consejo Popular Julia del Policlínico Comandante Pedro Soto Alba, con los adolescentes fumadores de esta comunidad. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación se trabajó con un universo de 152 jóvenes entre 10 y 19 años, la muestra quedó constituida por 44 adolescentes con los que se utilizaron diferentes instrumentos de recolección de datos como: encuestas y entrevistas con el objetivo de determinar la situación actual y características de la población adolescente fumadora de esta área. Este estudio se realizó en el período comprendido entre Enero y Abril de 2011, obteniéndose resultados relevantes.
