Abstract

A través de los documentos mercantiles atesorados en los archivos históricos de la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba, así como la literatura nacional y extranjera revisada conocimos la magnitud del comercio catalán en la ciudad .En el trabajo analizamos las Sociedades mercantiles catalanas en Santiago de Cuba en el periodo de 1864 a 1890 para la que se ha tenido en cuenta la influencia de los acontecimientos relevantes, de índole, político, económico y social, en este duro período de la guerra.
