El derecho penal internacional y el tráfico de personas

Abstract

El tráfico de personas es un fenómeno muy antiguo y complejo que abarca diversas disciplinas, no sólo la jurídica por la violación de las normas migratorias existentes, sino también la sociología, la economía, entre otras; por este diámetro tan respetable se buscan nuevas alternativas para frenar esta figura penal que están en correspondencia a las características que va tomando, pues su perfeccionamiento es constante, lo que demanda su estudio y análisis para enfrentarlo. Desde el Derecho Penal Internacional se han creado una serie de tratados los cuales procuran una tipificación uniforme del mismo internacionalmente y se han dictado determinadas pautas acerca de la protección jurídica de aquellos individuos que han sido víctimas del tráfico de personas. Se propone en este trabajo una reflexión acerca de esta figura penal y los textos internacionales más importante acerca del mismo.
