Ciencia e investigación universitarias. Algunos apuntes para un debate en clave política

Abstract

El presente trabajo intenta aportar a la compleja polémica en torno a la concepción contemporánea de la ciencia como actividad social y la posición de la institución universitaria en la producción del conocimiento científico. Para ello, se abordan tópicos como la perspectiva Ciencia – Tecnología – Sociedad e Innovación (CTS+i), las funciones sustantivas de la universidad y una concepción del curriculum universitario, destacando en estos diversos aspectos relacionados con la actividad investigativa desde el pregrado. Asimismo se intenta ofrecer algunas ideas para un replanteo de la política científica en el caso de la Universidad de La Habana (UH) y elementos del contexto social que resultan favorables a tal empresa.
