Abstract

La cultura medio ambiental como práctica cultural comunitaria encierra un conocimiento cultural basado en la propia naturaleza y su relación directa con el hombre como ente transformador de los más genuinos valores que propone nuestro entorno. La participación comunitaria como forma de socialización de los individuos, es un importante instrumento para transitar hacia este tipo de desarrollo a escala territorial, en apoyo a las instituciones responsabilizadas con la protección del medio ambiente y la gestión de procesos productivos y de desarrollo en general, ya que los procesos autogenerados de trasformación barrial, solo tienen lugar de manera eficaz cuando son asumidos por la propia comunidad de manera gradual.
