La historiografía cubana sobre los independientes de color: una mirada a cien años de la masacre

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como objetivo presentar las visiones esgrimidas en la historiografía alrededor del Partido Independiente de Color cuando se cumple el primer centenario de su aniquilamiento por el gobierno liberal del Mayor General José Miguel Gómez en 1912. Se observan las posiciones asumidas por Julio Le Riverend, Sergio Aguirre, Serafín Portuondo Linares, Silvio Castro Fernández, Alejandro de la Fuente, Tomás Fernández Robaina, María de los Ángeles Meriño, Rolando Rodríguez acerca de la pertinencia o no de aquella agrupación política existente durante la llamada primera república.
