Indicadores estratégicos de desarrollo: un análisis estadístico para la región Valles, Jalisco; México

Abstract

Las nuevas vertientes del desarrollo territorial enfatizan sobre aprovechar el potencial endógeno como mecanismo para mejorar la calidad de vida de las personas. Este artículo analiza los factores socioeconómicos que contribuyen a generar entornos favorables para el desarrollo, en la región Valles, Jalisco; México. Se aplicaron los modelos de regresión a un conjunto de indicadores espaciales para determinar su impacto sobre una de las condiciones de progreso más significativas de la población: el potencial de desarrollo socioeconómico. El análisis estadístico demuestra que algunos componentes se destacan como principales impulsores del bienestar social en la región. Lo que posibilita la definición de escenarios para la planificación territorial y la toma de decisiones.
