Estrategias para el desarrollo económico local. Aproximación a la provincia de Barcelona desde el modelo SLOT

Abstract

La crisis del modelo fordista de desarrollo entendido no solamente como pauta de crecimiento económico sino también como sistema de regulación social supuso la ruptura por agotamiento de las políticas tradicionales de desarrollo. Para Massey (1990) la reestructuración que se iniciaba a finales de los sesenta la causalidad de los cambios sociales, económicos, culturales y políticos observados en relación a la evolución económica podía situarse, en buena medida, en los niveles locales. El colapso económico modificó las cuencas del crecimiento y tuvo una incidencia muy especial en las ciudades. La ortodoxia teórica anterior fue cuestionada en favor de nuevas teorizaciones que explicaban el desarrollo de las regiones desde abajo, a partir de la dinámica interna. En su vertiente territorial el desarrollo se interpreta desde lo local.
