Abstract

Este artículo aborda la historia de la educación en Japón con énfasis en la articulación de nuevas políticas públicas del gobierno Meiji en torno a la educación. En particular, se concentra en el proceso de inclusión de las mujeres al proceso de enseñanza superior a través de dos escuelas, la Escuela Femenina Normal de Tokio (pública) y la Academia Femenina de Inglés (privada).
