Abstract

El sector de calzado artesanal en el Ecuador genera miles de plazas de trabajo cada año. El calzado es adaptable al tipo de mercado y al usuario final, dependiendo de hacia dónde va destinada la mercadería. La versatilidad es un punto clave cuando de ventas se trata, pero el ingreso de mercadería mediante importaciones del exterior, dificulta el desempeño del sector dentro del país.
