Centralidade urbana em cidades médias da Amazônia: a area de influência compartilhada entre Araguaína (TO), Imperatriz (MA) e Marabá (PA)

Abstract

Neste trabalho de investigação debate-se sobre a centralidade e compartilhamento de área de influência entre cidades de Araguaína (TO), Imperatriz (MA) e Marabá (PA), em sub-região delimitada como Sudeste da Amazônia Oriental. Nesta sub-região, os principais nós da rede urbana são as cidades médias, que estabelecem interações espaciais com metrópoles internas e externas à região, com as cidades menores em sua área de influência, e entre as próprias cidades médias. A metodologia operacional utilizada consta de revisão de literatura especializada; e o uso de dados secundários, coletados de sítio eletrônico do Instituo Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE). O resultado da análise destas informações demostra uma interdependência entre estas cidades e a superposição e compartilhamento de domínios nas áreas de influência, que indicam interações espaciais em múltiplas escalas, entre essas cidades médias.
