Perfil da pesquisa em estrutura de capital no Brasil

Abstract

Em decorrência de sua importância para o financiamento da empresa e a atenção requerida de gestores, credores e acionistas, a estrutura de capital é um tema central na pesquisa em finanças empresariais. Esta pesquisa objetiva analisar o perfil da produção científica sobre estrutura de capital em periódicos brasileiros. O estudo é exploratório-descritivo, utilizando-se a técnica de análise bibliométrica. A amostra está composta por 102 artigos publicados em 38 periódicos entre 2001 e 2017. Os artigos foram filtrados a partir de um conjunto de palavras-chave. Com base em estatística descritiva e aplicação da Lei de Lotka, os achados apontam para a concentração de artigos em determinados periódicos e instituições. Três periódicos publicaram um terço dos artigos, e três instituições concentram 41% da produção sobre o tema. Por outro lado, não há concentração em autores, havendo predominância de publicações em dupla (40%) e muitos autores com somente um artigo sobre a temática.
