Los microseguros: origen, conceptualización y su aplicabilidad en el Ecuador

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como principal finalidad realizar un análisis de los microseguros, cuyo objetivo es el de cubrir siniestros específicos que tienen las personas que pertenecen a la base de la pirámide de un país. Para explicar a profundidad este término primeramente se hizo una recopilación cronológica de la historia y evolución del microseguro en Latinoamérica. Consiguientemente se realizó una conceptualización del término con las diferentes definiciones que se han acuñado del término por varios autores e instituciones de relevancia internacional. Finalmente se analizó la aplicabilidad que han tenido los microseguros en el país y se citó un ejemplo específico para su mayor entendimiento (considerado como el primer canal de distribución del microseguro en el Ecuador)
