Estado ineficiente promove reservas extrativistas (in) sustentáveis na Amazônia

Abstract

Nós avaliamos a Reserva Extrativista Mapuá com base em políticas públicas direcionadas a proporcionar conservação e desenvolvimento, considerando a percepção das populações tradicionais em relação ao Estado e as necessidades de subsistência. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa em três comunidades da Reserva Extrativista Mapuá. Aqui, concluímos que somente o Estado dispõe de condições suficientes para mudar o cenário atual das RESEX, porque enquanto as populações tradicionais não forem prioridades no contexto de reservas extrativistas, distantes estaremos da tão vislumbrada sustentabilidade em unidades de conservação de uso sustentável da Amazônia.
