Abstract

A busca por fontes alternativas e renováveis de energia tornou-se uma constante no mundo contemporâneo devido à escassez e aos impactos ambientais causados por fontes não renováveis. Dentre as fontes renováveis, destaca-se o Biodiesel, o qual pode ser obtido através de diversas matérias-primas e que ocupa posição de destaque nas discussões energéticas e ambientais atuais. No entanto, muitas das fontes potenciais para a sua produção estão sendo desperdiçadas e/ou possuem pouca divulgação de seu potencial. Este artigo apresenta algumas destas fontes que podem vir a contribuir com o setor energético global, e evitar impactos ambientais.
