Abstract

Este artigo tem como objetivo mensurar a influência do capital humano formado pela UESC sobre o PIB per capita dos municípios da região de abrangência da instituição. Para tanto, optou-se pela metodologia de dados em painel, ancorada na estimativa do Método dos Mínimos Quadrados Ordinários (MQO), tendo como amostra os 74 municípios da região de abrangência da UESC. Os principais resultados evidenciam que o capital humano formado pela UESC está entre os principais fatores que contribui para a elevação do PIB per capita dos municípios da sua região de abrangência.
